The aim of this degree is to train researchers in business subjects. Most of the graduates of the Master's Degree in Business Administration and Economics Research are expected to apply for admission to the Doctorate in Business Economics or other similar doctorates in order to write their doctoral thesis. The students will come mainly from degrees in Business Administration and Management, Market Research and Techniques, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering with a specialisation in business organisation and other related degrees.

The aim is for students who achieve the degree to have demonstrated a systematic understanding of the field of Business Economics, which implies mastery of the skills, analytical tools and research methods related to the aforementioned field of knowledge, to analyse complex situations in environments of high uncertainty; thereby demonstrating the ability to put into practice and adopt a substantial research process with academic seriousness. This makes them good candidates for positions as researchers or lecturers in business administration in higher education centres, managers in specialised national and international consultancy firms, research centres of financial institutions and foundations, as well as for working in public bodies focused on supporting the business fabric.
